Crash Data
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:69.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/69.0
Steps to reproduce:
Send an email to a unresponsive server.
Dialog says copy failed
Click retry
Actual results:
Now the composer window is blocked, menus are active but I cannot send nor save nor edit the message. It doesn't seem to be retrying to send. The message has not been saved anywhere.
Expected results:
It should keep retrying or at least save the message temporarily somewhere (drafts? lost&found?). If I close the window now, I'm afraid the message will be lost.

I noticed that I have to retry 3 times, then it seems to give up and block.

If I try to close the frozen messenger window it says:
Thunderbird is currently in the process of sending a message.
Would you like to wait until the message has been sent before quitting or quit now?
No option to save the message.

Thanks for the past information.
Now that we're in the version 68 era, are you still crashing when using version 68?

There is now a nice UI offering me to save the email locally. Yay! Great work!
