MacOS commercial seamonkey build 1999-10-08-08-m11 installed on G3/400 OS 8.5.1
Overview Description:
Blocker. Launching apprunner crashes at start up. I tried launching apprunner
with an known good profile & registry, trying creating a new profile, or trying
migrating a registry. It crashes immediately after I double click on the
apprunner icon
Steps to Reproduce:
1) From yesterday build, I had a mozregistry and profile that was created in the
MacOS 1999-10-07-13 mozilla build
2) Double click on apprunner
Crashes immediately
Actual Results:
It crashes after double clicking on apprunner icon. It crashes double clicking
on 'mozilla installer' icon.
Expected Results:
It should launch apprunner to the browser after double clicking on apprunner
icon.
Additional Builds and Platforms Tested On:
This problem does not occur on Linux commercial 1999-10-08-11-m11.
Additional Information:
* Not sure if this bug should be filed under 'Browser-General' component.
Syd, any hope in Hell of getting me a stack trace to figure this out? (I can't
find Matiskella or I would give it to him.)
I just remember a similar bug that was resolved yesterday. Should we re-open bug
15687 and marked this a dup???

Okay, first off, the mac build script CommercialBuildList.pm is _completely_
broken. The BuildDist() function is broken, and doesn't variablize the
directory into which resources need to be installed. That means this: in a
debug build, you get one set of resources. In an opt build, you get a different
set.
amusil has changes in his tree to fix this. alex, can you please check those
in?
Once we do that, we might actually have a chance of seeing the crash in a
debug build.

OK - I checked in the fix. 10.8.99, 4:22PM.
You will now crash in the debug build as well. :-)
