I can verify this fix in Nightly v101.0a1 from 2022-04-04, however, this fix is not visible in a branch, but in the Nightly channel only (all branches after 73, apparently). This PiP's mute button is visible and working correctly on the Nightly channel, but it is not displayed at all in Beta, Release or ESR channels. (Bug for release channel: bug 1682117)

Considering the fact that the PiP is being improved starting with Fx99 and Fx100, maybe the mute button could be enabled on the rest of the channels as well.

Why was this button disabled in the first place? Do you know, Gabriel?

I think this button was disabled due to various site compatibility issues.
