So with the current Dark Theme, every message still is completely white.
Due to the contrast this looks even more bright than using the bright theme.

My suggestion is to apply themeing to the messages in a two staged approach:
First implement it for plain-text messages, where it's trivial.
The second implementation would require HTML messages to be "cleverly" converted, much like the DarkReader does in Firefox (maybe even leveraging WebExtensions for that is a clever idea!)

Note that this is just a feature proposal at this point, so feel free to object or close it.

Is this bug about the message views and the new message composer etc? [Because I don't know the names of all the exact components].
Also is it about using the System (OS?) to use dark theming?

btw I intentionally put the title like that because I'd suggest allowing every theme to theme the composer/message view (or better put: everything).
