Steps to reproduce:

Try to open a file (attachment).

Actual results:

Error Message Box: "Fehler: c:\path\until\first\space existiert nicht" (path doesn't exist). Click ok.
Next Message Box: "Fehler: c:\Windows\system32[pathafterspace]" existiert nicht.
(remaining path till next space doesn't exist)
This repeats until the whole path and file is walked through.

Expected results:

Selected file should open.

You haven't mentioned using any Thunderbird menu item. What does this have to do with Thunderbird?
