User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/68.0
Steps to reproduce:
I can reproduce by following these steps:
- Unmaximize Firefox.
- On the Customize screen, uncheck Titlebar.
- Attempt to maximize.
Tried with extensions disabled and a new test profile.
Firefox 71.0 (64-bit) for Linux Mint mint - 1.0
Linux Mint 19.2 Cinnamnon
Actual results:
Firefox does not fill the screen in the vertical direction. There is empty space at the bottom of the screen. The height of the window is the same as the pre-maximized height. The only way to fill the full screen is to increase the height to fill the full screen before maximizing.
Expected results:
Maximized Firefox takes up the full screen.

Can you please attach a screenshot if that?
Thanks.
This screenshot is unmaximized, showing a terminal window that is not visible when the browser is maximized. Just the desktop background (and desktop icons, but none on this screen).
I also see this on a clean Linux Mint 19.2 Cinnamon live ISO with Firefox 71.

Sorry, but this is NOT fixed.
Firefox 75, Linux Mint 19.3.
It appears maybe it's a bug of Linux Mint/Firefox combination?
Additional info: "Something maximizing works correctly but half the time doesn't".
As another user said, when maximized it has exactly the size of the window before maximizing. The empty space is unusable.. ie: if there are icons there, you cannot click on them ... it's like there is a dead area.

Firefox 75 already shipped so it's too late to fix this in that release.

(In reply to Vlad Rusu from comment #9)
Is there any reason you don't want to fix this?
Note that it's only wontfix for 75. A fix for trunk / other releases is still welcome.

I can reproduce it on Release 75+ with Linux Mint 19.3 but only intermittently (unlike before). The unrendered parts of the window are still interactive with the mouse cursor.
I cannot reproduce it at all on Nightly 73+, so there appears to be a configuration difference between Nightly and Release that is causing it.
