Steps to reproduce:

  1. attached a pdf to an outgoing email
  2. tried to open the pdf by clicking it twice in the attachment list
    When attaching a pdf to an email to be sent, the pdf cannot be opened from the attachment list. All other formats (word etc.) can. This is unfortunate as opening a pdf within that list provides a last and error-free check whether the correct version of the document is attached.

Actual results:

  1. nothing, the pdf did not open

Expected results:

The pdf should have opened in a pdf-Reader

If Content-Type of header for PDF is application/octet-stream instead application/pdf, this is duplication of Bug 1604102.
