I managed to get a regression range for this issue:
Last Known Good Build:
https://hg.mozilla.org/integration/autoland/pushloghtml?fromchange=a8b8823a6b72114f4150fbcd2ab0728b833b6a04&tochange=ef5f9e04f04b648bdee5517bcbf71895acf2314e
First Known Bad Build:
https://hg.mozilla.org/integration/autoland/pushloghtml?fromchange=fd34209bdecb327b012f1457fc1922c93c940a5b&tochange=ef5f9e04f04b648bdee5517bcbf71895acf2314e
It seems Bug 1580104 might be the cause of it.

It seems like it's more likely to be bug 1574493 that regressed this. Rares can you confirm the regression range?

I re-did the mozregression and I got the same exact results, and yes the Bug 1574493 might be the culprit here.

It looks like this is a gradient that ends up repeating even when we didn't ask for that.

We have some test cases on linear gradients that are fuzzed; those are likely the places to start investigating this.

We are going to take another crack at this in the next cycle. (Note that it only impacts preview video at certain zoom levels)

Hi Andrew, This issue no longer occurs in our latest Nightly build 76.0a1 (2020-03-24), I tried this on a Desktop Pc with an Nvidia GPU GeForce GT 730 as well as on a laptop with Dual GPUs but only the Intel UHD 630 enabled and active.

Firefox 74 graphics aberration
This seems to be a slightly different issue than OP as its not a single line, but a screen full of raindrops.
Oddly, when doing a screencapture, the artifacts do not show, only the live screen shows.
When using FF and typically Netflix, in scenes of movement, there are artifacts around the moving sections like horizontal raindrops, very thin. Static scenes are perfectly good.
Ive tried no acceleration/recommended and other settings, started in safe mode, Plugins installed, but the issue does not change. No such issue in Chrome or ElectronPlayer.
Hardware is a Lenovo E590 Thinkpad, but clearly its not a hardware issue as it only appears in Firefox.

Would you mind filing a new bug about this? We definitely want to follow up on it, but it sounds unrelated.
