(Keywords: access)

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:72.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/72.0

Steps to reproduce:

Tested with Firefox 72 and version 2019.3 of the NVDA screen reader on Windows 7 X64.

To reproduce:

  1. With NVDA running, enter a Private Browsing window and choose to download any file

  2. When the download has started, open the Downloads window

Actual results:

When the Downloads list is opened, nothing is output by NVDA - I have noticed several inconsistent results, but hitting either the down arrow or the tab key seems to, in most cases, place focus on the most recent download in the list

Expected results:

In versions prior to Firefox 72, the most recent download in the Downloads list would automatically be focused, and download progress automatically output by NVDA. As mentioned above, I've noticed inconsistent behaviour with the Downloads list in Private Browsing as of Firefox 72 - in most cases hitting tab will focus the most recent download in the list, but hitting the down arrow won't always move to the next download (assuming that multiple downloads are present within the current Private Browsing session). In other cases, NVDA immediately begins announcing download progress as soon as the Downloads window is opened - but I've only observed this once or twice.
