Details

When an extension controls the new tab page and the user opens a new tab for the first time since install/enable then the user is presented a doorhanger to confirm that they want the new tab page to change. The current options are "Disable Extension" and "Keep Changes".

In bug 1595858 the New Tab preferences options are being updated to support selecting an extension, Firefox Home Page or Blank Page, without disabling the extension (the only option previously provided).

To be consistent with the preferences page and to make it easier for users to keep the New Tab page that they want we should revisit the "Disable Extension" option to something like "Revert Changes" or "Use Firefox Home". Will need to confirm with UX and product.

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.
