Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Fedora; Linux x86_64; rv:72.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/72.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Use a touchscreen to open the bookmark menu, or the general menu
  2. Try to long press to open up a context menu

Actual results:

  1. The popup window is wrongly positioned and cannot be closed by touching outside of the pop up
  2. The context menu suffers from issue, but is also very unreliable to show up

Expected results:

  1. The popup menu should be at the place of the button and should be closed by pressing outside of it.
  2. The context menu should always show up.

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.

Caused by Wayland, please use firefox-x11 as a workaround.
Jan, can you look at it please?
Thanks.

Can you please test latest nightly under Wayland? A new popup handling code landed there.
Thanks.

Bookmarks menu and main/context menus tapped with a touchscreen open in correct position here with nighltly 91 on Wayland session of KDE Plasma. But it's still impossible to dismiss them with touch outside them.

Please re-test with new nightly as it gets another popup fixes.
Thanks.

Tested again, I can't close the popups by tapping outside them yet.

Thanks. Let's track the touch auto-close at 1508608.
