Details

A blank Chimera/2002080605 window refuses links or files dragged to it from other applications. Steps to reproduce: 1. Spawn a blank Chimera window 2. Drag a link from Mozilla or an HTML file from the Finder to the blank Chimera window Expected results: Link or file is displayed Actual results: Link or file is refused; Chimera does nothing, and the drag outline springs back to its' original position.

No; this is a regression from not loading about:blank, I think.
Status: NEW → ASSIGNED
Pink: heyelp. Your gecko drag and drop code is barfing because we don't load about:blank into new tabs any more.
then perhaps we should load about:blank into new tabs?
Fixed, by loading about:blank in new tabs.
