Steps to reproduce:

I have 7-8 different addressbooks besides the standard ones.
Until TB 60.x I was able to select my "preferred" addressbook, so that when I closed and reopened the addressbook window, I was sent to the AB I left and I am inside my "default/selected" AB (and its contacts) again, immediately.

Actual results:

Now, suppose that I have Addressbook name A, B, C, D and E (beside to the default addressbooks) and suppose I want to use essentially addressbook "C".
If I close the addressbook window, when I reopen it I was used to have my Addressbook "C" selected by default. This was with Thunderbird 60.x, 64bit using Windows10 64bit build 1909 OS.
Now on the contrary (TB version 68.5.0 64 bit - MS Windows 10 64 bit build 1909) "All addressbooks" are selected by default. This is a regression of the normal behaviour, IMHO.

Expected results:

If one decide to create different addressbook where (s)he puts his/her contacts into, is probably because (s)he wants to have something like a "filter" and for using a particular addressbook for some kind of work and another AB for other works. If one assumes this, then one selects preferentially an addressbook because in certain conditions/days etc... (s)he wants to work essentailly with that specific addressbook.
If TB, at every opening of the AB window, resets to the selection to "all addressbook", this is only waste of time IMHO because one needs to reselect the desired addressbook.

I can right-click on an address book in the Directory Pane, select "Default startup directory" for that book and when I next open the Address Book that one is selected.

That does not work for you?
