User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:75.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/75.0
Steps to reproduce:
Mobile browsers and many iPad browsers show the number of tabs the user has opened. Since Firefox has a "List all tabs" button, maybe the number should be there or in the "List all tabs" menu, it makes sense to do this.

Hey, can I start working on this?
It would be better to have a UX design first... But if you'd like, you could prepare a patch and I can show it to one of our designers.
Suggestion to UX: the wording should be "17 tabs in this window"
Made a rough mock of one of the ideas I originally requested (simply replacing the downward pointing arrow icon with the number of tabs open inside a square, exactly what Firefox on Android does. Functionality would remain the same, only the button would change)
@ UI/UX, this really would be a meaningful improvement and it's also about reaching parity with mobile browsers. It's silly that Firefox for phones/tablets has this but Desktop Firefox doesn't :(
