There was a regression in one my recent landings that caused blob images to constantly be re-rasterized, which put more pressure on memory allocation. It's probably what is causing this to happen more often.

The fix is in bug 1631293.

After the fix land this should happen less (as often as it did before the regressing patch anyway) but not dealing gracefully with allocation failure in blob recording or replay is still a thing and we probably want to look at it.

I looked in the last 20 failure logs and there are 2 tests failing:

gfx/tests/crashtests/1325159-1.html - has a majority of failures
gfx/tests/crashtests/1317403-1.html - fewer failures

Should we disable both or just stick with 1325159-1.html for now?

This crash signature seems to become more frequent in the last few months; there's a number of reports on crash-stats with Failed to get ScaledFont entry for FontInstanceKey NN and Replay failure: FillGlyphs PLAY in the GraphicsCriticalError field, and some with Replay failure: ExternalSourceSurfaceCreation PLAY. Happens across linux/mac/windows.

The crash reports tend to have "Failed to create UnscaledFont" in the log. perhaps we are it's failing more often due to more memory pressure?
Lee any idea what we could do here ? It'd be nice if we could avoid to crash when we can't create the unscaled font (fallback to some other font maybe?) or guarantee that we can.

Thunderbird increased. significantly at v85.
