User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:75.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/75.0
Steps to reproduce:
Attempt to find a reliable way to launch kiosk mode to a specific monitor in a multi-monitor setup.
Actual results:
Inconsistent behavior. Windows would launch kiosk mode in whatever monitor firefox was last. Some Linux Desktop environments would launch firefox where the current active window is, some launch it where the mouse is, others always launch it on the primary monitor.
Expected results:
I should have the option to explicitly choose which monitor I want to launch firefox in. Chrome allows this by specifying the window coordinates. (Similar issue in #1447536 )
Yes, this is similar to bug 1447536. That was was marked as a P5 (backlog, patch will be accepted) in 2018. Asking :mossop's take on this.

Kiosk is a desktop Firefox thing.

This does sound like a dupe of 1447536. We need a way to set x/y on startup.
We already allow width/height. Would it be difficult to add x/y?
