Details

Our FFI code reports errors as a combination of error codes and string messages. We should probably extend the error types the sync ping sends to bundle that code where we can't report a more specific (e.g. http, auth, etc) error.

We may revisit this if it turns out it's harder than we expect to reconstitute this data server-side, but at the moment it seems like we'd rather do it there.
