16382 - Text in Mail configuration dialog simply doesn't show + the IMAP/POP option is not working

Overview Description:

When using the mail for the first time, the configuration dialog shows up but
the text (doesn't display). Also, the POP/IMAP option in config doesn't work

Steps to Reproduce:

1) Open mozilla for the first time (after deleting ~/.mozilla)
2) Click start the mail tool
3) The configuration dialog shows up wrong
4) Force redraw to continue until the IMAP/POP choice
5) IMAP/POP choice won't allow to change the state

Actual Results:

First, when the configuration dialog shows up, there are no instructions, all I
see is the entry boxes. This looks like the text is redrawn correctly, but not
drawn in the first place.

Also, The IMAP/POP Selector stays on POP, whatever I do


Expected Results:

I guess I should be able to see the text and select IMAP.

Build Date & Platform Bug Found:

I used the M10 binary for Linux
I'm running a fresh RedHat 6.1/Linux 2.2.12/glibc-2.1
PPro 180/64Meg

missing the +/- is a dupe of #13551

The redraw problem is a general painting problem on linux (don't have the bug#
off hand)

The problem with selecting combo boxes inside a modal dialog is also a known
problem, and I don't know that bug off hand either.

Once we get the two missing bug #s, lets mark this a dupe.

yeah, I think that's good enough.
Marking a dupe of #15476 because I think that's the most critical..

Ok, mark as verified.  valj01 - if you are interested in when these bugs get
fixed, pls feel free to add yourself to the cc: list of those bugs.  Thanks for
reporting this and for trying to use mail.
