This is a follow up for bug 1640099

But now I am seeing requests blocked (i.e. channel.canceled) for now visible reason.

Honza

STR:

  1. Load http://janodvarko.cz/tests/bugzilla/1640598/
  2. Open DevTools and select the Network panel
  3. Reload the page
  4. The image.png request is marked as blocked since channel.canceled is set to true. But why?

AR: marked as blocked
ER: not marked as blocked

Has STR: --- → yes

:Honza, if you think that's a regression, then could you try to find a regression range in using for example mozregression?

Has Regression Range: --- → yes

We might want to backout Bug 1640099 (yet in 78) if there is no easy fix for this.

Honza

Harald, can you please try to reproduce this on your machine?
Perhaps it's just me who is experiencing this?

@Junior, just CCing you here, so it isn't forgotten. We need to make a decision whether bug 1640099 should be backed out yet in Fx78 (Soft freeze is on Thursday).

I can't reproduce at my side.
Backout might be safer at this moment IMO given no quick solution

Flags: needinfo?(juhsu)

Can't reproduce in Nightly, current or fresh profile.

Thanks for testing everyone!

Let's backout the patch from bug 1640099 since the results are mixed and we should verify how the request.canceled flag works before shipping.

Honza

Not sure whether you want to keep this open, but I'll call it fixed for 78 at least.
