If you view a bookmark's info from the sidebar the bookmark's icon will disappear until you restart Navigator. (said bookmark has to be with-in a folder... excluding root toolbar bookmarks) Steps: 1) Goto http://mozilla.org 2) Add Page to Bookmarks or cmd-d (add to Bookmarks) 3) View Sidebar or cmd-/ 4) Select the bookmark (should be named 'mozilla.org') and Get Info (cmd-i) 5) Close the Get Info floating window (escape or cmd-w) (Note you do not have to edit the bookmark) 6) Select the 'Bookmarks' menu The 'mozilla.org' icon has disappeared Chimera/2002081905
WorksForMe using Chimera/2002082005.
Reproduced with Chimera/2002082005 Are you sure you're following the steps correctly? Could any type of preference be effecting this? I have 'user_pref("browser.chrome.site_icons", false);' in user.js but that isn't effecting the bug.
I think I skipped step 6. Confirmed using Chimera/2002082305.

bug 165044 seems to follow a similar path; the end result differs, but these bug both start with viewing Info of a bookmark in the sidebar.
Mine. Maybe dup of bug 168507.
