Beyond a certain number, typed spaces at the end of a line don't get shown
(regarding to the cursor position), although they seem to be there.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Press CTRL+M to open a new message.
2. In the mail body, enter a few words.
3. Hold down Space for a few seconds.
4. Enter another word.
Actual Results:
(3.) When holding down Space, only a certain number of spaces is shown. After
that, the cursor goes back to just behind the last word.

(4.) The word is suddenly wrapped to the next line.

Expected Results:
(3.) Every typed space is shown.

(6.) The word should only get wrapped to the next line if it is visible that
there is not enough room on the current line.

Ever confirmed: true
Which word is wrapped? The word from step 4? If so, that's not a bug. The
only bug I see here is the caret bouncing back in step 3. Dos that still happen?
Yes, the bouncing back still happens (current linux trunk build).

Kin, who should own this? The caret issue is the bug. See also dup Bug 181753.
I'm thinking this is perhaps a layout or selection issue?
Assignee: jfrancis → kin
This is a layout issue.
