1649403 - DoH doorhanger can't be reopened after closing automatically

The other day I got a doorhanger notification that I believe was related to DoH. Alas as I tried to open the browser console, the doorhanger went away with seemingly no way to reopen it. It seems that just tabbing to another window closes the doorhanger. That's probably okay, but there should be a way to reopen it after that.

This is the intended behavior for CFRs. We have bug 1648465 to make the DoH message persistent in the future.

How so? I wasn't done reading the doorhanger and didn't mean to dismiss it when I switched windows. This was unexpected and seems clearly flawed.

We have bug 1648465 to make the DoH message persistent in the future.

Actually that seems to be about all CFRs now, not just DoH. Should we just mark this bug a duplicate of that?

The message is meant to come back every 24hrs. I agree that the experience is not great. I only meant to say that the behavior was implemented this way not that it's good.
