User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/78.0
Steps to reproduce:
Start using Thunderbird in dark theme on Ubuntu 20.04.
Actual results:
Only the selected message is given the color of the tag. It uses the color as background color.
Expected results:
Also unselected messages should get the color of their tag as is the case in the light theme. It should use that color as foreground color. Please, see the attachement.
Fixing this will re-enable the user to quickly see which messages have which tags and not forget to handle messages tagged important.
This bug has been observed in Thunderbird 68.10.0 on Pop!_OS 20.04 (dark and light Thunderbird theme).
I is however working properly in Thunderbird 68.8.0 on Pop!_OS 20.04 (dark and light Thunderbird theme) and in Thunderbird 68.10.0 Lubuntu 20.04 (dark and light Thunderbird theme).
Also the Thunderbird setting in Preferences / Display / Formating / Colors... / Use systems colors have no influence, niether has setting Pop!_OS to light or dark theme have effect.
Let me know if you need more information, e.g. there can I find the theme definitions?
Ah, found it, The add-on Reminderfox is the culprit. Will make a report there.
As reported at various places Reminderfox is ONLY compatible with up to vers. 60.x!
Do NOT use/activate/have installed Reminderfox with newer TB versions.
