Using 1999-10-15-11m11 commercial builds on linux 6.0 and NT 4.0 It is very easy to crash when using a continual (hold down key) backspace or enter in the html reply compose window. I can't seem to reproduce this in a new message window, so I'm wondering if this might have to do with some of the general reply weirdness that's going around today. 1. Launch messenger, login to Inbox. 2. Edit|Account Setup|set the compose preference to use html. 3. Select a message in the inbox, click Reply. 4. Click to focus in the reply window body and then delete the (duplicated) quoting text "Laurel Carlson wrote ..." then hit repeated backspace or Enter. Result: crash (NT 4.0) or exit with no crash info(linux) most of the time. Talkback incident(s) from NT: Incident #14252954

There is a lot of chance that it's related to the reply problem (bug 16550).

There are various problems with replying right now, e.g. the wrong mime type being passed to the parser before initializing the editor. This seems like it's related to those problems, so I'm bumping it back to J-F. If it still happens after fixing the other reply problems and the stack trace points to the editor, send it back.
I still reproduce the crash even after fixing the problem Akkana mentioned.

Since I have applied the fix for bug 16550, I cannot reproduce the crash anymore.

I can't reproduce the crash, either. I'm using 1999-10-19-08 commercial builds for all platforms. Will mark this verified.
