User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/84.0.4147.105 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
add a Gmail account to TB, create a mail, save it in draft, open the draft and edit the draft and save it again.
Actual results:
If you open Gmail web app, you'll see multiple drafts for every saved draft. But inside TB, on Gmail draft folder you'll see only one draft (as it should be). You can see it in the attachment screenshot.
Expected results:
you should see only a single final draft. I tried with iOS Mail app, and there is not the problem, so, i guess it's TB problem.

Here is what I see using 78.1.0 and 68.11.0 on Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS.
Created an email and saved it to my Gmail Drafts folder in Thunderbird.
Drafts in the account settings are configured to be saved in "Other: Drafts on Gmail".
Checked GMail web mail and the message is in the Drafts folder.
Edit the body of the message and save it.
Only one draft in both Thunderbird and web mail Drafts folder.
The edited draft on Gmail shows as Draft 2 to the left of the Subject.
Edited it again and it shows as Draft 3.
Edited the Subject line and that was saved in Gmail web mail as a new draft, but there is only one message in the Drafts folder in Thunderbird.
Edited the Subject line again and that was saved in Gmail web mail as a new draft. Still only one message in Thunderbird
Sent the email and the Drafts folder in Thunderbird was emptied.
All three Drafts stayed in the Drafts folder in web mail until I discarded them by checking the check box.
Sent another test email from the Drafts folder in web mail and both the web mail and Thunderbird Drafts folders emptied.
