One is forced to cancel preference editing altogether and scrap changes.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
From the main mail window:
1. On the left pane - Click a mailbox (newsgroup)
2. On the right pane, Under "Accounts" - click "View settings for this account"
3. On the left pane - Click "Outgoing server (SMTP)"
4. On the right pane - Click "Advanced"
5. Click "ok"
Actual Results:  
Nothing

Expected Results:  
Save preferences

Clean-ish install.  Mozilla browser cleanly installed (within the hour, minimal use).  Then I installed the complete package overtop and was playing with newsgroups and email.

I suppose it's possible that this install type broke something.

WFM for me (Mac OS 9.1 Build 2002083017) I got the bug before the fix
