Smooth video playback and scrolling.
Actual behavior
App freeze
Device information
Android 9 with 2GB RAM

I don't know – this was reported by user of Fenix (with 3 thumbs up on the original comment). I think trying to reproduce in fenix or GeckoView would be a good place to start an investigation.
Looking at the original issue report, it sounds like this might be a better fit for Core :: Performance than media.

Core :: Performance might be a better home. Or perhaps this should be duplicated against bug 1267674, unless you see a meaningful difference.
At some point playing too many videos at once is going to overtax system resources, so perhaps the right solution is limiting the number of videos which will autoplay at once or something similar. I'm going to mark this as a duplicate for now; feel free to re-open if you see a meaningful difference.

There may be a fenix-specific solution (e.g. disabling autoplay on reddit only in fenix) so I'm going to reopen and move to perf. They can choose to close if they think it's similar enough. :)
