1662285 - Address book drag - drop to mailing list does not work

Steps to reproduce:

Create a new mailing list in the Personal Address Book (PAB)
Click on the PAB in the tree view
Select an mail address from the PAB
Try to drag this address entry to the newly created list

Actual results:

I cannot drop the address entry on the mailing list (disabled mouse icon)

I can drag the address entry to the Collected Addresses. It is then moved to the Collected Addresses. But when I create a mailing list I cannot drag and address entry to it.

Expected results:

I should be able to drag one ore more address entries from the address book to a mailing list. This address should then be added to this mailing list.

This evening I saw this working in TB 68, but not anymore in 78 and also not in the (currently beta) 81.x

I noticed that just yesterday. FWIW you can hold the Ctrl key as you drag it, for a copy operation instead of a move.

Thx for hint to use ctr key.
Dragging contact to mailing list has to be a copy operation anyway.

I have the latest version 73.8.2 and this hint doesn't work.

Reviewed 2 iterations, now ready to land.

Maybe in a followup bug, we could polish this:

• Since dropping on a mailing list will never be a move operation, it should probably show a [+] hint on mouse pointer before dropping.
