That bug is slightly wider ranging than this specific issue. I think what we'll do is to make that bug depend on bug 1650874, which is the meta bug for this work, sometimes we would duplicate, but I think in this case we'll keep them separate as it isn't an exact match, and having a reference in the preferences component helps the bugs be found.
