Current Behaviour

Using the mouse, I can click and drag the Locker icon (left to the URL in the address bar) to the Windows desktop in order to create a bookmark link file.

Same for stylus/pen on a touch screen.

But when I use my index finger on a touch screen to drag the Locker icon to the desktop, no bookmark link file is created.

Expected Behaviour

when I use my index finger to drag the Locker icon to the desktop, a bookmark link file should be created.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Open a web page in Firefox on a Windows 10 device equipped with a touch screen.
  2. Make sure Windows 10 is running in desktop mode, not table mode. Otherwise the Windows desktop won't be available.
  3. Touch the Locker icon and drag it to the Windows desktop
    => Nothing happens.

Some websites don't have a dedicated mobile app for accessing their content, but that doesn't mean you can't add bookmarks to favorite websites on your Home screen.
Creating a bookmark on your Home screen lets you use it as a one-tap portal to access specific online content, instead of having to open a browser and then select a bookmark or type in a website's URL address. https://myselfcarenotes.com/
Launch Safari on your ‌iPhone‌ or ‌iPad‌.
Navigate to the site that you want to create a Home screen shortcut to.
Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing out of it) at the bottom of the screen.
Scroll down to the list of actions and tap Add to Home Screen. (If you don't see the action, scroll to the bottom and tap Edit Actions, then tap Add next to the Add to Home Screen action. After that, you'll be able to select it from the Share Sheet.)

I was describing the issue for Windows 10/11. There's no such thing like a Home screen there.
