Andrew, is there any way how to debug the taskcluster/scripts/tester/test-linux.sh locally, i.e. without sending the changes to try?
For instance if I install Ubuntu 18.04 can I emulate the try environment somehow and perform the tests locally somehow from command line for instance?

Sorry, not that I'm aware of. I haven't touched this file much but the few times I have I've always used try debugging.

Maybe you could try getting a one-click-loaner? Though it's also been awhile since I've done that so not sure how (or if) it works these days.
