User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:81.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/81.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Firefox browser
  2. Go to "www.youtube.com"
  3. Play any video which duration more than 45 sec
  4. Click "Miniplayer" on youtube player screen
  5. Hover over the mouse all over the "Miniplayer"

Actual results:

Picture-in-Picture button appear after some sec and when mouse pointer comes to the button, it did not turn into "click hand" from mouse cursor/pointer.

Expected results:

Picture-in-Picture button should appear instantly and mouse pointer should turn into "click hand" while hover over the Picture-in-Picture button in Miniplayer mode.

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce the slow appearance of the button - the button comes up immediately for me. I wonder if youtube's scripts have changed or if there's something else that trips whether or not this issue happens.

I can reproduce the "missing" hover state, but that seems to be an issue with youtube overlaying the video; I'm not sure we can easily do anything about it.

@Almas thank you for reporting this issue.

I tried to reproduce this issue and successfully managed using the following steps:

  1. Navigate to any video on YouTube (+45 sec).
  2. Click the Miniplayer button from the right bottom of the video.
  3. Move the mouse cursor to the bottom right side of the screen quickly.

It is very important to move the mouse quickly, even before the opening of the miniplayer if possible.

This behavior seems to be similar to the one described in bug 1659479, so I would duplicate this report in favor of that one.

As for the second behavior of the missing hand pointer cursor, I believe it is due to the miniplayer's overlay.

@Mike, do you have an input about this report?
