There is no way to escape from a password dialog.  Cancel does not work.

select an imap account
open it
select the inbox
try to cancel the password dialog.

Works for me. First you get the password dialog to open the folder, and then we
get another password dialog maybe to load the message (this is how 4.x worked).
Cancelling both of them seemed to work fine.

Doug, if this doesn't work for you, could you be more specific about the problem
you're seeing :-)
Used 10-20-11-M11/WinNT:

Tested on 5.0, after I cancel from the password dialog, it brings up password
dialog again.

But 4.x doesn't bring up another dialog after I cancel from the password dialog.
Does the password dialog suppose to work this way (need to cancel two times from
two password dialog?)
Used 10-22-09-M11 communical build/WinNT

Still got two times appearance after "Cancel" from the password dialog.
So, that's why the user will feel that there is no way to escape from a password
dialog even he already hit "Cancel" button.

I know that the second time "Cancel" will work, but user will expect cancel one
time to escape from this password dialog......isn't it?

I need to reopen this bug since
from 4.x, you only need to cancel one time from the password dialog.
But in 5.0, it still need to cancel two times...
(It is misleading the users that the 1st Cancel is not working).

Verified on all the IMAP servers (NMS, UW, Cyrus, SIMS servers):
Cancel Login dialog only display one time for all the IMAP servers now.... 
(Except AOL IMAP crash/Alert for cancel login problem  - see bug#33241)
