Steps to reproduce:
Setup account in Thunderbird 82.0b1 with local IMAP and SMTP server provided by ProtonMail Bridge.
During setup I was asked to confirm exception. After that account was successfully added and I could communicate via IMAP using STARTTLS 127.0.0.1:1143.
I created new mail and tried to send it using local SMTP with STARTTLS setting 127.0.0.1:1025
Actual results:
Error windows appeared saying:
Sending of the message failed.
The certificate is not trusted because it is self-signed.
The configuration related to 127.0.0.1 must be corrected.
Expected results:
I should be asked to confirm exception or exception from IMAP should be reused.
I checked certificate manager and exception for local self-signed cert is there.
I believe this some leftover from: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1590473
