1673267 - Port bug 1667113 to Thunderbird - changes to parsing

Bug 1667113 has a simple change to a test that we need to copy, but it's a security bug, so instead of using its number I'm filing a new bug. This change probably needs uplifting in due course.

We also have bug 1673164 which is a regression from the same bug and busts event invites. We'll have to fix that before uplifting to release at least. But this bug can/should land once it can at any rate.

The regressor is not yet on esr-78, but will probably be there in a day (?) so I'm adding the affected flag.
