Steps to reproduce:
Cannot go backward to version 68 so cannot reproduce.
Actual results:
Was running Thunderbird 68.9 and I came to computer and noticed that several of my Extensions were missing so I investigated. I found that I had been upgraded to 78.4.0. I have Thunderbird set to Let Me Choose because I knew that several of the extensions were going to become unusable. I tried to go back to 68 and said that the profile had been upgraded and I would have to create a new profile. I have been using the same profile for the past 16 years. Not in a good situation now.
Expected results:
Stay on version 68

The upgrade issue was fixed in 68.12.1 https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/68.12.1/releasenotes/
