Steps to reproduce:

Subscribe two (or more) calendars, both of which contain events and tasks: Your own calendar and one calendar of your colleague. You are interested in your colleagues' events, but not in their tasks.

Actual results:

If you enable your colleagues' calendar in your calendar list, you can see their events. However, your task list also gets cluttered by tasks which you are not interested in.

Expected results:

There should be an option to hide all tasks for each individual calendar. For example in the calendar properties dialog.

Another possible solution is bug 1104677 ("Selecting / Deselecting calendars also selects/deselects tasks"). Or bug 1598592, which appears to be a duplicate of 1104677.

A less-ideal workaround would be bug 297667 ("Tasklist colors should reflect Calendar ownership")

I agree with this proposal. Many (most?) CalDAV servers allow the creation of event-only calendars and/or task-only calendars.
In my scenario, I have about 20 task lists in Nextcloud (calendars with events disabled), but when I sync the task lists to Thunderbird, every task list is displayed in the calendar tab with no way to remove them from the calendar tab without also removing them from the tasks tab.

Confirming that this is still an issue in v108
Also, bug 1598592 would make this much less of an issue.
