RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1558086

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:82.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/82.0

Steps to reproduce:

Enable the "Auto" system appearance in System Preferences. At the end of the day, websites in Firefox correctly switch to dark mode. However, at the beginning of the day, they are still in dark mode and don't switch to light mode unless I toggle it in System Preferences. I do not have this problem in other applications.

Note: I've had this issue for every version of Firefox since I turned on the Auto system appearance, but I can confirm that I still have the issue in Firefox 82.

Actual results:

Websites in Firefox switch to dark mode, but not back to light mode.

Expected results:

They should switch to dark mode and back to light mode.
