In order to create a mailing list under the Address book, it was easy, in older netscape; just create a new list name, and cut and paste a bunch of addresses which are comma separated; it will add it one by one in a new line; works beautifully under Netscape (old, 4.79), but under Mozilla, it will paste only the first email and Mozilla would just ignores the rest. Aaargh. Switching to Mozilla made me lose that capability. Appreciate if you can fix this. Thanks.

Confirming, but with slightly different behaviour to the description: Win XP, Mozilla 1.2.1 - Put the following into the clipboard: bob@moo.z, foo@bar.garg, haggis@wild.aha - Click New List in addressbook, call it bob and paste cliboard contents into the top email address line - Click OK Double clicking on the new list shows that "bob@moo.z, foo@bar.garg, haggis@wild.aha" has been preserved as a single address. Composing to this list puts "bob <bob>" into the To line, and nothing else! Works fine under 4.79.

Also confirming, under Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030529. Netscape 4.79 also allowed pasting lists that were separated by CR/LFs, I'd like to see this functionality in Mozilla as well. Thanks!
Confirming again. This is still a bug. Pasting a CR separated list of addresses should put an address in each row of the box. Should this be assigned to Seth Spitzer? He seems to have most of the AB mailing list bugs in his court. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a2) Gecko/20040708
This problem bugs my wife so much she won't use Mozilla. She maintains a variable list in Access that she needs to contact once a month. Manually entering or editing 30 to 50 addresses is NOT an option. She wants to copy the "email" column and paste it into a new list, like she can in Outlook and Eudora.

The interesting part of this bug is that it was working like a charm in Netscape 4.x and it lost this capability, when it was released as Mozilla! Are we going backward in some ways? Netscape was at one point a great application! This was implemented under bug 169432 which was asking for the same as this - duping. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 169432 ***
