Create background text instructing users to drag Chimera icon to Applications
folder.
Blocks: 147975
Summary: Create background text instructions → Create disk image background text instructions
This is what I'm thinking of, a simple JPEG image with some text. I know the
icons aren't properly lined up, but this was made for a simple demonstration.
Let me know if you like it and I can send you the JPEG file I used.
(See also Mozilla equivalent bug 113955.) This is really more of an enhancement
than a bug.

How is this fixed? I don't see anything on the 20021020 nightly, although the
window is a different size and the icons have been rearranged.
Hm, it works for me...
I've tested this on two different Macs, both running 10.2, and it appears as
shown in the picture. Greg, are you on 10.1?
Another thing that would cause the image not to appear is if your Chimera image
ends up mounted somewhere other than /Volumes/Chimera, as the background image
location is set to there (it apparently has to be an absolute path, and this is
where it will end up mounted for most users).
Yes, I'm on 10.1.5. The background image is not displayed.
There may be a difference in the finder .DS_Store format between 10.1 and 10.2.
Assuming that 10.2 can read the 10.1 format, what I need to do is set up the
background and arrange the icons on a 10.1 machine and check in that .DS_Store file.

I'll investigate this week.

Ok, I regenerated the Finder data file with 10.1, so now the image background
should show up on 10.1, starting with tomorrow's build.

erk, apologies for not dbl-checking this on both OS's!
Nice job on the image and layout, btw. Who did it?
Ugo Santana did the image, I did the trivial job of arranging the icons against it.
vrfy'd fixed on 10.1.5 and 10.2.1 with 2002.10.22.04.
