User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/87.0.4280.141 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
Sending out email using latest TB
Actual results:
TB set user agent on outgoing email, for example
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101
Thunderbird/78.6.1
Expected results:
Allow user to configure the user agent since it also leaking some metadata such as OS and TB version. Someone prefer privacy.
Previously we can just do like https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1114475#c1 but not more anymore.
I can't found how to open pref config anymore. Last time I can add new null string pref "general.useragent.override" to remove and nullify the user agent on outgoing email.
My suggestion, put some menu button on option-> Privacy security to turn on user agent or turn it off

Why do you think that's no longer possible? The path to the dialogue has changed only slightly:
Tools -> Options -> /General\ -> [Config Editor]
I can't found how to open pref config anymore.
Then it might have been better to clarify this in a support forum before you create a bug?

Works for me as usual.

There is something wrong with your menu. Did you notice the empty space below "Activity Manager"?
Possibly a problem with an addon. Try to start the TB in savemode.

I thought this is normal. The menu always have same size even there is just few clickable menus, I attached chat and developer tools for example.

Only have 1 addons ( https://addons.thunderbird.net/thunderbird/addon/provider-for-google-calendar/ ) but I disabled it long time ago already.
I tried restart TB in safemode, empty space below "Activity Manager" still there and no "option" under "tools"
P/s : I talking from "hamburger" menu. But if I enabled "menu bar" (the Menu Bar is hidden by default) , I can see "Tools->option".

I see - at the "Hamburger Menu". Yes, there I also have the empty space.
There the item Options should already be on the first menu level.
