Can you check via mozregression what might have regressed this?

tried to get a regression window, but couldnt. This is because the STR requires you to be logged into gmail, and hence I "reuse" my normal profile. But after a few bisections, the test builds start in safe mode.

If you add " --profile-persistence clone-first" to the mozregression command line it starts with a fresh profile for the first build, so you have to log into gmail again, but after that it uses the same profile, so it has the gmail login already. I use this, it works well.

I get
43d250c96e71928eb14dbd6dde03595959b36f89 Glenn Watson — Bug 1523882 - Rework snapping logic in clip mask generate to fix uneven box shadows. r=kvark, nical
seems like the best guess.
The only other thing that might be related
cb5ed33ae30da0deceb984932ec69a1a02b0e88b Dzmitry Malyshau — Bug 1523347 - Plane-split update to 0.13.4 r=kats
