Steps to reproduce:

Updated to the new release for Mac

Actual results:

Today after upgrade to 78.7.1 server connections time out. It is looking to servers that were switched out from (e.g. host263.hostmonster.com was replaced by mail.highroadmc.com but it is timing out on the old one) So I am not getting mail, just time outs on the server. "Connection to server host263.hostmonster.com timed out" Mail is unretreivable by Tbird (but I can get it on my phone).

Expected results:

It should have retrieved email normally from the mail.domainname.com servers where domainname is one of my domains.

I looked into the deep settings as I could not imagine how it had gone back to those old servers. They are there in the mail.server.server#.hostname while the server they should be looking for is in the mail.server.server#.realhostname. (see attached). I tried resetting the server name and then setting it back with no luck.

Summary: Today after upgrade to 78.7.1 server connections time out. It is looking to servers that were switched out from (e.g. host263.hostmonster.com was replaced by mail.highroadmc.com but it is timing out on the old one) → Server connections time out after upgrade to 78.7.1, looking to servers that were switched out from (e.g. host263.hostmonster.com was replaced by mail.highroadmc.com)

Could this be related to Bug 1518126 from 78.4?

Blocks: 1573690

I have 78.7.1 and some accounts where I had to change the host and can confirm that - at least for me - it's not broken anything or started connecting to the wrong place.

What I have seen are times when it is trying to connect to the new/correct host, but when it fails (for whatever reason, e.g. a problem with the provider) the pop-up notification shows the old/incorrect host. (As referenced in 1573690 I think)

Does problem reproduce when using newer version (91 for example) with Help > Troubleshoot mode?
