User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020910 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020910 When you try to download the file (ftp://www.gamezone.cz/ofpd/unofaddons/MTY4_MiniGun_R.zip) you get an error message saying that the source can't be read. This will occur 1-2 times if you try again and after that Mozilla simply won't start to download the files and furthermore the download manager now has 2 blank entries which you can't remove. This happens with most of the files on this site, nowhere else. Downloading them in IE or Getright though works fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Try to download the file (ftp://www.gamezone.cz/ofpd/unofaddons/MTY4_MiniGun_R.zip) 2.Now you'll get an error message 3. Actual Results: Got an eror message Expected Results: Started to download the file

I've switched from mozilla 1.1 to 1.2 and now i can't download files anymore PLEASE HELP!! Always the same message "can't save because the source files can't be read", pointing to a cryptic file stored in temp folder.. This is a critical issue in my humble opinion that makes 1.2 unusable, but pheraps it's something wrong in settings, i dunno..
I've been experiencing this for a couple months. I can't download files in mozilla. It's pretty embarrassing to have to start up IE all the time. The source file really does exist, mozilla just seems to have lost track of it.

I can't download anything using 1.2b on Win98 SE. This extends to saving images that are already loaded, and saving web pages. Sometimes this gives an error, but generally it just fails silently. Nothing changes whatever the Download settings are (Open dialog or Open manager). And just to finish off, I can't open the Download manager from the Tools menu. Do I win?

This seems to be the same as this bug: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172215

I believe this bug differs from bug 172215. This one is Windows-specific and related to valid links, while bug 172215 is os-independent and deals with links to non-existing files.
