Bug 1687397 removed the blinking animation for the identity icon and the item in the permission panel. However, there is still code leftover for synchronizing these animations: https://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/rev/0379f315c75a2875d716b4f5e1a18bf27188f1e6/browser/base/content/browser-sitePermissionPanel.js#556-567
Marco, since you disabled the animation, could you take this one? Thanks!
