RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 689067

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64; rv:86.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/86.0

Steps to reproduce:

This is more or less the exact opposite of bug 1196662, and is loosely related to bug 689067.

I have several accounts on my TB install, one of them being dead (university account, got deleted a few years ago) which I still keep around. Consequently, I disabled for this account the options to "Check new messages on startup" and "Check new messages every X minutes". The problem shows up on Windows (not tested on Linux) when the OS gets suspended, either by manual activation or because the device was idle for too long, and Thunderbird is opened.

Actual results:

On OS resume, I get a notification from Thunderbird which says it failed to connect to the IMAP server corresponding to this dead account. This is expected because the account no longer exists, but since I explicitly disabled fetching new messages in the options, I do not expect Thunderbird to try to do so. The rest of the time, these settings are respected.

Expected results:

On OS resume, the mails for this account should not be fetched, so no notification should appear.
