Looks like HW /compositor specific issue, please report to sway or investigate your gfx drivers. When cursor is melting with application it's usually a driver/compositor bug.

I have tried earlier versions of sway and wlroots that worked correctly with firefox.

@Martin, I've actually managed to ascertain this is a regression of some kind between firefox 86 and firefox 87. I've downloaded & tested from https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/ to discard any weirdness that could come from Ubuntu's packaging.

• FF 87b1 has the problem

Latest beta (87b7) still has the problem.

In such case it may be related to size-allocate event we use to create and initialize the subsurface now. I see there's a subsurface rendering artifacts and it looks like a bug we have in KDE too - when wl_subsurface has a different size than parent surface and compositor does not handle it. From the second popup example it looks like the wl_subsurface is not initialized / created.
