Steps to reproduce:

• open youtube video
• seek almost to end
• mini windows with suggestions are displayed

Actual results:

PIP button is invisible, it's behind the mini windows

Expected results:

PIP button should be always visible, available.

I reported similar bug, if the youtube video is in the phpBB forum, you pause the video, "More videos" bar with mini windows are shown, so the PIP button is invisible too.

PIP button position is not good IMHO, perhaps it could be in the middle, or in the top-right corner.

Firefox 86.0 (64-bit) portable, Windows 10 20H2, 64-bit.

BTW When I want to click the PIP button before mini window is shown, I can easily misclick the mini window and it's opened, which is unwanted and quite annoying too.

Unfortunately there are even more cases where it is occluded for those positions - that's why the button is where it is now.

Micah, are there other bugs where we're looking at being smarter about positioning of the button (e.g. having it depend on the page or something) ?

None that I'm aware of, no. We do have a contributor working on adding an option to the toggle's context menu that allows the user to customize where the toggle is placed ( Bug 1550453 ).

If we want to detect where the toggle button should be positioned per site, I think the groundwork done in Bug 1670108 would help with this.
