169745 - [Website Testing] videos through flash player do not work on this site

Videos do not work. it says it is checking for available players on your system,
then shows windows media but nothing plays and you're left with a black box
instead of the movie. You can browse and view available movies through the flash
player, but can't actually view the movies. QT, WMA and Real all installed on
this machine.

Build used:         2002091904
Computer Used: Powerbook 667 rev.B, 512 RAM
OS Used:            10.2

Michael, what link at that URL are we supposed to click to reproduce this

the newest mozilla build checks your browser and then takes you to the OSX WMP
download page- you get a broken plugin icon instead of the blank black box.

I didn't want to actually link to a specific movie, as they are dynamic and
could change, rendering any link i gave as pretty much worthless... :) I thought:

"You can browse and view available movies through the flash
player, but can't actually view the movies."

would let on that if you go to that page and click on any of the "play video"
links you would see what i was talking about.

It's not obvious from looking at that page where the videos are, and instead of
picking through that site, I'll just test shockwave.com.

The Flash content on [http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/] works fine
using Chimera/2002091704.

i don't think you understand- i was asked by winnie to test specific sites for
their functionality, =not= chimera's ability to play shockwave files. thanks

Michael, if you wouldn't mind taking Chris' suggestion in comment #1 and check
this link using the latest Mozilla build, that'd be great.  Thanks.

Windows Media Player plugin is known not to work in any Mac browser other than
IE (bug 119045). If there are issues with this site other than WMP, please reopen.
