Steps to reproduce:

Opened email and tried to view in "Print Preview"

Actual results:

the Print Preview window opened and immediately closed

Expected results:

the preview of the email should have stayed open and allowed me to set up the print layout

MY Version is 87.0b2 (64-bit), this has happened in the past, resolved and happened again. Is there an advanced setting that would cause the Print Preview popup to immediately close? I completely uninstalled the program, scrubbed it from the registry and reinstalled it and the behaviour is the same

Tried safe mode using Help > Restart with Add-ons enabled?

If that doesn't help try a test profile with one account.

I can't reproduce using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:87.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/87.0 with the latest 20h2 cumulative Windows update.

It could be my account is corrupted, is there a good way to delete everything and do a fresh reinstall?

not really. but you can create an additional, new profile to test

it works now, there must have been some change to the way the program did its previews. I have not deleted anything, just allowed the updates to run their course

Looks like the print issue is back is a different form after working well for several updates. I now have 91.0b2 (64-bit) and the print dialogue opens and it just hangs up on "Preparing Preview"

All was well until the last update and now I have to take a screenshot of my emails and print them if I need copies.
